Starting on August 16th, 2009 a new German Currywurst Museum will open its door to visitors at Schützenstrasse 70 in Berlin, Germany.
This multi-media exhibition about Germany’s traditional snack creation is located in direct proximity to Checkpoint Charlie and covers an area of 1.100 square metres including catering, he Currywurst snack lounge and a shop.
Three dimensional installations and classic exhibits will give visitors a glimpse into the history and origin of the Currywurst, provide information about recipes, and ingredients. A collection of curiosities, and a presentation of the Currywurst in TV as well as in movies will complete the exhibit.
