Porsche Cars North America unveiled Solar Power System

Porsche Cars North America implemented a new 80 kilowatt urban solar power array at their Porsche Logistics support facility in Ontario, CA. It is the first solar power system at any of its U.S. locations and one of the largest in the Ontario, CA area.
The solar power system was designed and installed by HelioPower. The 372-panel solar modules will produce 135,000 kilowatt hours of renewable electricity per year and will prevent a carbon dioxide emission by 50,000 pounds annually.

Two decades ago the environmentally conscious German parent company Porsche AG already installed a waste-management recycling system, is now constructing cars with 85% recycled materials, plans to launch its new hybrid SUV Porsche Cayenne and a hybrid version of its Panamera four-door.

Porsche Cars North America, Inc is based in Atlanta, Ga and is the exclusive importer of Porsche sports cars and utility vehicles for the US. Their Porsche Logistics, LLC facility is located at 5100 E. Ontario Mills Parkway, Ontario,CA.
