Daimler’s revolutionary car2go idea

Daimler’s car2go system is a completely new and innovative traffic concept.
After starting the first pilot program in Ulm, Germany October 24th, 2008 Daimler will bring this innovative mobility concept to Austin, Texas in fall 2009. A fleet of Smart ForTwo vehicles will be available for rent to registered members at any time. Subscribers will have to pay a one time registration fee and pay on a per minute, per hour or daily basis. They can pick up the cars 24/7 from a parking lot or random parking space with or without reservation.

The car2go system is also not only convenient but extremely environmental friendly since it uses the Smart ForTwo with a combined fuel consumption of 40 MPG and combined CO2 emissions of 88 g/km.
